A refined terracotta amphora with subtle anthropomorphic proportions. Its surface is shaped through the traditional engobe technique: successive layers of liquid clay coat the terracotta body before being gently abraded, revealing a hypnotic, richly textured finish.
Collection: Anthropomorphic Amphorae
Italian Title: Anfora antropomorfa n. 7
One-of-a-kind piece. Handcrafted in Caronia, Sicily by Maestro Filadelfio Todaro. Once sold, this exact piece will not be remade.
This piece is handmade stoneware or terracotta, fired and glazed by the artist - small variations in glaze, texture, and form are part of each one-of-a-kind piece, not a flaw. Dust with a soft dry cloth; if the piece is glazed and safe to hold water, empty and dry it fully between uses rather than leaving water standing. Avoid sudden temperature changes and dishwasher/microwave use.
