A terracotta amphora with anthropomorphic inspiration, echoing the archaic appeal of primordial statuettes. Enriched with details finely applied by hand, the surface is achieved through the traditional engobe technique: successive layers of liquid clay envelop the ceramic body and then are gently abraded, creating a softly patinated finish.
Collection: Anthropomorphic Amphorae
Italian Title: Anfora antropomorfa n. 9
Handcrafted in Caronia, Sicily by Maestro Filadelfio Todaro.
This piece is handmade stoneware or terracotta, fired and glazed by the artist - small variations in glaze, texture, and form are part of each one-of-a-kind piece, not a flaw. Dust with a soft dry cloth; if the piece is glazed and safe to hold water, empty and dry it fully between uses rather than leaving water standing. Avoid sudden temperature changes and dishwasher/microwave use.
