A ceramic vase depicting the mythological figure of Medusa. Serpents coil around the face, forming a vivid frame that heightens the intensity of her grey, penetrating gaze. Small openings scattered across the glazed surface recall the textures of the sea floor, adding a subtle marine resonance to the piece.
Collection: Mythological & Historical Heads
Italian Title: Medusa
One-of-a-kind piece. Handcrafted in Caronia, Sicily by Maestro Filadelfio Todaro. Once sold, this exact piece will not be remade.
This piece is handmade stoneware or terracotta, fired and glazed by the artist - small variations in glaze, texture, and form are part of each one-of-a-kind piece, not a flaw. Dust with a soft dry cloth; if the piece is glazed and safe to hold water, empty and dry it fully between uses rather than leaving water standing. Avoid sudden temperature changes and dishwasher/microwave use.
