A terracotta amphora inspired by the elegance of anthropomorphic forms. Wheel-thrown and refined through the traditional engobe technique, its surface is built up with successive layers of liquid clay applied over the terracotta body before firing. The result is a richly textured finish that highlights the depth and character of the piece.
Collection: Anthropomorphic Amphorae
Italian Title: Anfora antropomorfa n. 5
One-of-a-kind piece. Handcrafted in Caronia, Sicily by Maestro Filadelfio Todaro. Once sold, this exact piece will not be remade.
This piece is handmade stoneware or terracotta, fired and glazed by the artist - small variations in glaze, texture, and form are part of each one-of-a-kind piece, not a flaw. Dust with a soft dry cloth; if the piece is glazed and safe to hold water, empty and dry it fully between uses rather than leaving water standing. Avoid sudden temperature changes and dishwasher/microwave use.
